Trees for Life & the Highway of Heroes Tree Campaign were proud to participate in a special ceremony to unveil the new 550-tree arboretum at Oshawa’s Ontario Regiment Museum (ORM). This is just the first in a series of milestones we’ll be celebrating as we approach the successful completion of the Highway of Heroes Tree Campaign this fall.

The Ontario Regiment Museum presented a wonderful opportunity to add memorial trees to a site that is not only close in proximity to the Highway of Heroes but a site that is steeped in Military history.

The ORM boasts the largest collection of operational armoured military vehicles in North America. This coming weekend, June 4th and 5th is their Aquino Tank Weekend, where visitors to the museum have a chance to see these painstakingly restored vehicles in action. It’s an experience like no other! If you can, we highly encourage you to check it out.

Click here for more information on Aquino Tank Weekend and be sure to follow  Trees for Life on Facebook to see pictures of the new arboretum after it is unveiled on Friday. Stay tuned for more on upcoming activities and how we will continue and expand the living legacy tradition to include Covid-19 and other heroes.
