Who We Are.
Trees for Life is a national charity with a mission to create a healthier, happier Canada by planting native trees where we live, work, and play.
Our History
Our roots are in the highly successful Highway of Heroes Tree Campaign and GrandTrees Climate Solutions projects. We were inspired to expand our mission nationwide, as Trees for Life. To date, Trees for Life has supported the planting of over 3.4 Million trees.

Helping to plant the right trees in the right places. Trees for Life inspires, funds and supports community-led tree-planting groups.
Partner Planting Opportunities
The impact of climate change on our families and the planet is deeply worrying. Planting trees is one of the most accessible ways we can combat the impacts of a warming planet. Trees reduce flooding and fire, clean our air and water, even positively impact our physical and mental health by their presence. Countless tree-planting organizations do incredible work throughout Canada. They are the experts when it comes to their communities’ tree-planting needs. Through your support, Trees for Life increases what these organizations can accomplish by securing resources, expertise, funding and networks for them. Together we are better!
How We Help
We bridge gaps, provide resources and connect tree-planting organizations, including other ENGOs, industry, civic organizations, individuals, Indigenous communities, and all levels of Government. We will work with anyone who shares our goals and values.
The Horticultural Trade Advantage
Through the support of Landscape Ontario, we have built key relationships with professional nurseries, growers, and planters. These relationships ensure we have access to healthy tree stock, the right equipment, local expertise and the right people. In many cases, we receive significant discounts on products and services, maximizing the impact of every dollar donated.
