SJC, 369 Global and Boyd Conservation Park

On October 24th, SJC and Trees for Life hosted a special tree planting at Boyd Conservation Park in Vaughan, Ontario, to commemorate the launch of 3, a new magazine aimed at Canadian newcomers and global citizens that celebrates the country’s rich diversity.

Guided by the expertise of the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) staff for proper tree-planting technique and safety, the event was attended by SJC Media and 369 Global employees to celebrate 3, a magazine collaboration between the two companies. In addition to the 300 trees these volunteers planted, aiding the TRCA’s environmental goals for this watershed, another planting of 3 trees was done, symbolizing growth and new beginnings and recognizing the magazine’s focus on third-culture individuals—people influenced both by their parents' culture and the culture in which they are raised.

A founding partner of Trees for Life, SJC has long been committed to sustainability through its Partners in Growth program, which plants a tree for every ton of paper used in client print projects and SJC’s own media magazines. To date, the program has resulted in the planting of millions of trees across Canada, contributing to a greener, more sustainable future.
