Seabird Island Band Planting Project

Funding Gap: $20,000

A First Nations community in the Upper Fraser Valley region of BC, the Seabird Island Band is planting 1,000 trees in their community to address climate change, create windbreaks against the winds from the Fraser Valley, and create more shade and animal habitat. The plantings will be part of the project component of the ecological restoration training program running at Seabird College.  Trees for Life is providing funds to purchase trees and ensure that top-notch professional labour and guidance is provided.
