Forests Ontario and the World’s Largest Living Tribute

As we approach the final tree planting for the Highway of Heroes Tree Campaign (HOHTC), we want to take a moment to celebrate the organizations who helped to create the world’s largest living tribute to Canadian military personnel.

In November, the HOHTC will have supported the planting of nearly 2.5 million trees, exceeding our initial goal of 2 million! Of the many partners and supporters that have contributed to this achievement, one of our greatest allies is Forests Ontario. Their 50 Million Tree Program increases forest cover by making tree planting easier and more affordable for landowners. Through this partnership over the past 3 years, private landowners were provided the opportunity to be a part of this living tribute, on the "other side of the farmers' fences" near the highway. Special thanks to Rob Keen and the team at Forests Ontario for their ongoing support and help in making this dream a reality. Learn more about Forests Ontario's 50 Million Tree Program here.
